Alabama food truck operators will soon only need a statewide health and fire inspection to operate throughout the state. This law, which passed in April, will take effect on July 2, according to a report by WAFF.
The inspection service will be rolled out in the next six months from July 2. Food truck owners have expressed enthusiasm for the bill, including Aaron Wetstone at Happi Pappi and Corn Dog Cravings.
"It will save travel time, of course on the fuel, it will save them time as well," Whetstone said in the report. "Even one of the fire marshals was saying how grateful he'll be when it happens because all he's got to do is look at the statewide certification and check off."
