Alabama town revamps food truck rally strategy

The Downtown Huntsville Inc. food truck rallies, held at Big Spring Park in the Alabama city, will be a bit different this year.

Instead of taking place the third Friday of the month they will now be held the first and third Fridays, from May through October, according to a AL.com report. The rallies will also be broken into categories due to vehicle spacing. Food trucks will participate on the third Friday and food trailers will be serving on the first Friday of the month. The trailers, according to organizers, require more space; by splitting up into two vehicle nights more food truck operators can participate.

"It's a creative way to give more exposure," DHI CEO Chad Emerson told AL.com.
