Amazon Prime documentary aims to provide realistic view of food truck operations

A documentary about food trucks that attempts to get beyond the hype and give a realistic idea about the challenges of operating a food truck will be released this Sunday on Amazon Prime.

The movie, titled "Food Truck Chefs," features interviews three food truck owners who give their own stories about how they got into the business and the challenges they have faced.

Director Nathan Agin said he was motivated to make the movie since he was fascinated by food trucks. When he spoke to food truck operators, he found most agreed that TV shows and documentaries tend to glorify what it means to be a food truck chef.

"This documentary depicts struggle and conflict, but it's also a story of perseverance and prevailing from the lives of the characters," Agin said in a press release about the documentary.
