Android game, Food Truck Chef, chalks up 16 million downloads
The game, Food Truck Chef, from Nukebox Studios in India, has become the leading Android casual game in 40 countries, including the U.S., chalking up 16 million downloads on its first anniversary, according to Venture Beat. The game made it to the Top 100 Grossing Charts in over 100 counties on Google Play and the App Store.
Players have to take orders for a a food truck and serve up to four customers at a time. They must balance cooking meat without burning it, serve the guests on time and earn tips for fast service.
Amit Hardi, CEO of Nukebox Studios, said the game has enabled players to live out their dream of running a food truck. Some have written to the company to say they have since started their own food trucks. Over time, the game has added newer trucks, features and events.
