With stores shuttered, downtowns empty and residents urged to stay home and sequester, it's hard for a food truck to find customers.
Food truck festivals are being cancelled and so are many community events that welcome food trucks during warm weather months.
As one Arizona food truck operator said, trying to adjust to having no hungry crowds to feed has been "really, really difficult," according to a AZ Central report.
Another told the news outlet the business environment is surreal and he isn't hopeful that cancelled spring time events will be rescheduled due to climate issues — few people enjoy food truck festivals in 105 degree weather, he noted.
