Central Jersey food truck, music fest happening next weekend

The ongoing coronavirus has cancelled hundreds of events this year due to social distancing mandates and health concerns, but one New Jersey food truck event is still taking place.

The Food Truck & Music Festival, slated for Sept. 5 at Monmouth Mall, is on and will feature 20 trucks, music, pony rides, and margarita and sangria gardens, according to a Red Bank Pulse report.

The event will allow 500 attendees in at a time, and all must wear a face mask and there will be social distance marks in front of every truck.

Organizers are asking attendees to bring a non-perishable food item to support local food pantries. Admission is $5 a person and the event will be held from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
