In early spring the Flo's Kitchen food truck, in Avondale, Chicago needed to find a new home to sell its tacos as bars and businesses went into a shutdown mode due to COVID-19.

So owner chef Flo Gutierrez parked in his family's backyard and the family-run operation is finding success, according to a Chicago Eater report.

The family purchased the truck five years ago, but it took years of work to put it on the road in 2019. It previously would park outside nearby bars before the coronavirus hit.

Gutierrez is now considering opening a brick-and-mortar location, according to the report.
