College puts food truck education on hospitality program

The Blue Ridge Community and Technical College is now offering a food truck curriculum.

The West Virginia campus' program even includes a food truck as a learning classroom and it serves up food throughout the campus, according to a LocalDVM.com report.

The Bruin Express truck lets students learn about running a truck while also creating a food truck menu.

"It's really tough to have a brick and mortar in this day and age and you have to drive customers to those establishments, but you can actually drive the truck to the people now so that's a really great positive," Steven Weiss, associate dean of hospitality and culinary arts, told the news outlet.

The food truck is also available for events.
