Connecticut food truck gets 'ambushed' by celebrity chef on Friday’s 'Undercover Boss'

A husband-and-wife food truck team get "ambushed" by a celebrity chef posing as someone looking for career inspiration in Friday's "Undercover Boss" episode, according to The Hartford Courant.

Celebrity chef Marcus Samuelsson disguises himself as an insurance salesman with dreams of opening a restaurant who visits the food truck of Heather and Roy Riedl to discover "gifted aspiring chefs at a public cooking class, a culinary institute, a high-end food truck, and a soup kitchen," according to a description of the episode. The Riedls run Mercado Food Truck in Glastonbury, Connecticut.

Heather Riedl said the experience was "absolutely incredible," and the couple was happy to have gotten the guidance from the celebrity chef. The couple plans to open a brick and mortar restaurant in June.
