Connecticut restaurant resumes service, food truck operation

September 16, 2020

After five months of closure due to COVID-19, a Connecticut restaurant and its food truck are open for business.

The Whey Station(ary), a restaurant in Middletown, and its food truck business is resuming operations. The food truck, called Whey Station, is open by Wesleyan University's campus, according to a Hartford Courant report.

The owners, Jillian Moskites and her husband Josh, decided to resume business now that college students and staff are back on campus. The restaurant had just celebrated its first year anniversary when it was closed in March by governmental mandate due to the coronavirus pandemic.

"We're sticking with what we know works with the truck, and not taking risks for [events] that were schedule fillers," Jillian Moskites told the news outlet regarding food truck service. "For us not to take the risks and be wise and bide our time, made the most sense for us."
