Delectable Innovations launches slider-focused food truck

Austin-based restaurant group Delectable Innovations has opened a food truck concept called ATX Sliders.

The truck is located at the Saxon Pub in South Austin and a grand opening will be held this weekend, on Saturday, June 12 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., according to a press release.

The truck, run by Tex Mex co-founder Chef Michael Lerner and Chef Carlos Cruz, a former executive chef of Hilton Austin, serves gourmet beef, chicken and vegetarian sliders.

The menu theme is all about Austin and the truck will offer a special "slider of the month" option with sales benefiting a local nonprofit organization. With each special slider purchase the team will donate $2 to the monthly beneficiary group.

The truck is open with limited hours, from 4 p.m. to midnight through Sunday. Beginning on Monday, June 7 regular hours of operation will be 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. on Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 3 a.m. on Friday and Saturday.
