Denver food truck expanding into a physical restaurant presence

September 16, 2020

Despite the rocky economics and coronavirus pandemic, the owners of a Denver food truck is gearing up to open a restaurant in the spring of 2021.

The Orange Crunch: Filipino Staples and Delights food truck has proved to be a popular destination since it launched as a food cart in 2012, according to a Westword report.

The owners, Sarah Del Rosario and husband Leshner, then grew the cart into a food truck and catering business.

The food truck's signature dish is the Filipino, orange-colored empanada.

"It was the most unusual and delicious thing I'd ever eaten," Saraha Del Rosario told the news outlet. "And you're in the middle of the Philippines, and you're hot and sweaty, and you're eating this hot empanada."
