Food truck group, Kiwanis partner on brunch event

The Bellmore Kiwanis and the organization Food Truck Fridays, in Nassau County, Long Island are teaming up on a food truck-centric effort in the town of Bellmore.

The event, "Brunch in Bellmore," will feature food trucks serving up their fare on Sundays at the Long Island Rail Road station, according to a Long Island Herald report.

"It's a great location to show the trucks," organizer Wendy Lantigua told the news outlet. "People were very excited we were there, and it was very busy compared to what I thought the first day would be."

It kicked off Jan. 10 and will be held every Sunday through March between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m.
