Smash Daddy's Burgers, Fries, Etc. was recently removed from the Indiana Statehouse market in Indianapolis by the communications director for the state's personnel department. Owner Scott Sims believes this may be connected to complaints over his tagline, "You'll love our meat in your mouth," according to a report by IndyStar.

He received an email from Kirollos Barsoum, communications director, for the Indiana Personnel Department stating that the decision to remove the truck was final, citing complaints over the "slogan displayed on the side of your truck." No other information or reason was given behind the removal, and the state claims that no written complaints exist about the food truck's tagline.

"I wasn't trying to be crass. I was trying to just make it witty and funny with an eye wink," Sims said in the report. "If you want to take it there, fine, but that's not how it's implied."

He is currently working with an attorney to send a letter to the personnel department. He argues that his tagline is no different from other meat based taglines from big restaurant chains. He also believes this could be a First Amendment issue.
