FoodTrux launches interactive food truck finder app

FoodTrux, a Maine tech company, has released a fully interactive food truck finder app available in both the Apple App Store and Google Play store.

The app helps users find food trucks in Portland, Maine and Denver, Colorado, according to a press release. Users can search and directly engage with food trucks and provides turn-by-turn directions to food truck locations as well as menu, prices, promotions and events.

"The food sector today is becoming increasingly mobile, fragmented and on-demand," Matt Noone, FoodTrux CEO, said in the release. He said the idea for the app came from a craving he had for tacos after watching a hockey game and an unsuccessful attempt to find a food truck serving up the wanted fare.
