French cuisine arrives on Austin’s food truck scene

The Rye Bread Bar, in Austin, Texas, aims to offer local foodies French cuisine as well as French drinks.

Operated by Bryce McMillan and Malou Rasmussen, a married couple, the truck is open for business on South Congress Avenue, according to a Hilltop Views report.

The truck is a renovated 1950s camper, and the couple both have extensive bartending and foodservice experience. The menu offers crepes and sandwiches as well as agua frescas.

"Our plan is to get some live music, get a bigger stage built and then start to do stand-up comedy more on a regular basis," Rasmussen told the news outlet. "After this, we also want to try and create some open-mic events, which [are] very popular now in Austin."
