Grand Rapids hosting food truck festival this weekend

May 14, 2019

The third annual Roll’N Out Food Truck Fest takes place this weekend in Grand Rapids featuring 30 trucks which makes it the community's biggest food truck event.

The festival, taking place Saturday, May 18 from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Heartside Park, at 301 Ionia SW, includes a wide range of activities, according to a MLive Minnesota report. It is being hosted by the Grand Rapids Food Truck Association.

"The weather looks fantastic for Saturday so we're encouraging everyone to bring blankets for picnicking in the park while they enjoy food truck fare and listen to music from the stage," Rock Dandeneau, GRFTA president, told the media outlet. "Plus, Roll’N Out will offer free activities, games and register to win opportunities. It will be an excellent time to support and enjoy the local food truck community."

The food trucks will set up along Ionia Avenue and Bartlett Street. Activities range from Zumba demos and live music to a bookmobile truck to corn hole games.
