Hartford food truck finds a long-term home

The Flavors Kitchen food truck, in Hartford, Connecticut has found a long-term residency behind the Simsbury Historical Society at 800 Hopmeadow Street.

The truck, which serves up Caribbean fare, is well known for its pork and chicken-based entrees and has a strong following built from its previous location at the Simsbury Meadows Performing Arts Center, according to a Hartford Courant report.

Finding a permanent place to serve, which is also easy for diners to find, hasn't been easy during the COVID-19 pandemic, according to owners Mike McCullough and Dee Malave. Prior to their new home they drove the truck to many spots, including out of state.

The truck is open Wednesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
