Hoodline names Detroit's 5 best food trucks

Vegan, gluten-free, ethnic and American fare are all driving popularity among food trucks, as evidenced by Detroit's five most popular food trucks, according to a cbslocal.com report.

Hoodline, a content discovery platform, recenlty compiled a list of the five top food trucks based on Yelp reviews and its own "secret sauce."

Detroit 75 Kitchen, located at 4800 W. Fort St., serving American sandwiches, grabbed top honors with 4.5 stars out of 136 Yelp reviews. 

Yum Village at 6500 Woodward took second place with five stars out of 28 Yelp reviews. The truck serves African fare.

Coming in third place is Nosh Pit Detroit at 2995 Yemans with 4.5 stars out of 34 Yelp reviews, serving vegan and gluten-free fare.

Mac Shack at 1227 E. Ten Mile Road came in fourth with four stars out of 87 Yelp reviews.

Fifth place went to D Motown Deli & Food Truck at 3750 Gratiot Ave., which earned five stars out of 10 Yelp reviews.
