The Rescue Dog hot dog food truck in Kalispell, Montana is all about selling hot dogs and helping rescue dogs and aims to expand its canine care mission by franchising.
Owners Amanda and Colten Hart, along with business partner Bob King, built the mobile food vehicle on a new trailer and use a a 1971 Gerstenslager fire truck as a marketing vehicle. The owners donate a portion of sales to the Humane Society of Northwest Montana.
But they hope to make donations to rescue groups grow by franchising the business, according to a Flathead Beacon report.
"The whole theme started with the fire truck," Amanda Hart told the news outlet. "It made sense with the rescue dog and we're pretty community minded and we love to help where we can. This just happened to tie in with that."
Every franchise will include donations to a local animal shelter as part of its business model and the franchise hopes to have the first franchise truck up and running in the near future.
