Houston food truck claims immigration raids threaten business

July 18, 2019

The owner of the LaMacro taco truck in Houston believes immigration raids are endangering his business, according to a fox10phoenix.com report.

Owner Saul Obregon said he has experienced a sales decline this year, from 20 to 40 orders a day to two a day, and has been forced to stop serving breakfast and lunch. Obregon, who has been in business for eight years, also said he has had to lay off a couple of employees because of the decline.

Cesar Espinosa, executive director of the Houston immigrant rights group FIEL, said he has received several complaints from businesses experiencing similar problems.
