The Houston Sauce Pit, in Houston, Texas, is celebrating its first-year anniversary with a loyalty program.

Customers will get a free meal on their fifth visit to the vegan barbecues food truck, according to a Houston Chronicle report.

Food truck owners Jarrett Milton and Courtney Lindsey launched their truck at 5000 Almeda Street in January 2020 to satisfy the need for BBQ vegan fare.

"This time of year is a good time to get people realigned," Milton told the news outlet. "A lot of people say, 'I'm thinking of going vegan' and then 'I'll just wait till next year,' so this was the perfect time to start our offer. Now we have people coming in even after their fifth meal. It's a great way to pull people in. We've got about 50 people signed up."
