Food truck operators in Maine are having a much different business experience this summer given the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
Many are finding much more time for leisure, given stay-at-home mandates, and much less traffic in business districts where they once did robust business and others are expanding their business strategy in response to the coronavirus and the cancellation of festivals and fairs which provided a place to make money.
Some food truck operators are partnering with local breweries and others are depending on community support, via invites to visit neighborhoods, to keep their trucks running, according to a Sun Journal report.
In related news, a new food truck is now serving Maine residents, according to the Sun Journal, as the We Fry High truck, in Wilton, is offering fried foods including bacon cheese fries. The We Fry High food truck is open Friday and Saturday, on Routes 2 and 4, from noon to 7 p.m.
