Illinois home to Trucks and Tunes food truck event

Food truck fans in Rockford, Illinois have something to look forward to this spring. The "Truck and Tunes" food truck event will kick off on March 17 and be the launch of a weekly Wednesday program.

It's the brain child of Paul Sletten, who owns and runs the Abreo restaurant in the downtown area, according to a WIRF23 report.

It will take place in an outdoor area behind his restaurant.

"It's one year since our industry got shut down and stay at home orders went into place, so it's an unofficial coming out party for everyone that's been in lockdown and sheltering at home," Sletten told the news outlet.
