Illinois town home to food truck drive-thru

Just six months ago, food truck operators mapped out a location and stayed the day serving up their fare.

Then, with COVID-19 food truck operators began traveling to the consumer, visiting neighborhoods.

Now in the wake of COVID-19 a new customer service channel is open:  the food truck drive-thru.

It's happening in Loves Park, Illinois at Rivets Stadium in Loves Park, according to a 23WIR report.

Several local well-known food trucks, including The Olive Branch and Olivo Taco, are participating in the drive-thru that will take place Wednesdays and Thursdays through the summer.

Customers pull up, get a menu, then conduct the order and payment process right at the truck's window.
