Iowa food truck operator expands with a restaurant

Arturo Mora, owner and operator of the Flame food truck, has opened a brick-and-mortar restaurant on 5775 Merle Hay Road in Johnston, Iowa.

Mora launched his food truck four years ago, according to a Des Moines Register report, and both dining destinations reflect his Mexican heritage.

The menu items illustrate his years of learning to cook Mexican specialties with his grandmother on a small ranch in his home country. His truck is known for the Flame burger featuring a special Flame sauce.

"I wanted to have something clean that you don't find in regular Mexican restaurants," he told the news outlet. "It's fresh and clean and that's the concept for us."
