Lots of food truck love in Lonsdale, Minnesota

June 24, 2020

While the COVID-19 pandemic has driven many a food truck off the road and into hibernation, given stay-at-home orders and closed business districts, one Minnesota community is getting its first taste of food truck fare and loving it.

The community of Lonsdale is enjoying its first-ever food truck event and by all accounts residents are eagerly looking forward to future food truck dining, according to a Lonsdale Area News Review report.

The initial food truck event, organized by a small business owner, Megan Gordon, was held earlier this month. She got the idea after attending another local food truck event and had two trucks participate. The second event featured three food trucks, according to the report. The events are drawing crowds thanks to her social media promotions.

"It seems like a lot of people have shared my post, and people are really excited about it,"Gordon told the news outlet. "It's different. Lonsdale has never done anything like this before, and I'm really glad they're allowing me to do it."
