Mobile food services third-fastest growing employment engine in US

Mobile food services was cited as the third-fastest growing industry in the U.S., according to a report by 24/7 Wall St., based on data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, according to a USA Today report. Mobile food services was the third fastest growing industry behind breweries and Internet publishing and web service portals. The report ranked the 25 fastest growing industries.

Employment in mobile food jumped close to 200% (197%) from 2009 to 2018, and the employment jumped to a total 22,370 people. Th average annual pay in 2018 was $18,742 and the average gain in pay was 29.1% in the 10-year period.
