New way to 'try on' best new bottom line-building restaurant tech

POS device provider ParTech has partnered with cloud-based API software developer Omnivore to bridge the gap between restaurants and the tech developers and suppliers who cater to the industry.

A news release said that through the partnership, PAR's cloud-based Brink POS software can connect with numerous other new technologies, making it far easier for restaurants to test new systems for essential operational needs such as making reservations and deliveries, as well as mobile ordering and more. All of this comes through the POS interface. 

This testing capacity is important because operationally game-changing technologies offering cost savings and customer benefits are being released every day. The tech alliance gives restaurants an easy and accessible way to test and compare applications and even activate those they find to be effective, the release said.  

"We have a history of extremely positive experiences working with Brink, and set a goal early on to integrate with the software because we knew it would provide operators with a competitive advantage in the crowded restaurant landscape," Omnivore co-founder and CEO Mike Wior said in the release. "This partnership increases revenue potential by opening new insight into operational efficiencies and enhancing customer interaction."

Partech CSO Paul Rubin said that the system is helped by the fact that Brink POS already has one of the largest restaurant ecosystems available and Omnivore enhances that access. 

"This partnership allows restaurants access to all of the applications enabled by Omnivore and its App Marketplace," he said in the release.
