NJ career college offers food truck entrepreneur program

The Ideal Institute of Technology in Atlantic County, New Jersey is offering a food truck entrepreneurship program as part of its First Step to Career program.

Students from ages 16 to 24 are given an opportunity to learn everything about food truck operations, from cooking to bookkeeping, according to an NJBiz report.

Those who complete the training are welcome to pitch a business plan for their own food truck that will be funded by an investment group.

"At Ideal, we do more than teach — we innovate," Ren Parikh, founder of Ideal Institute of Technology, told the news outlet. "Ideal operates around the philosophy of 'earn while you learn,' providing student-operated enterprises for our students to get hands-on experience. At our We Are AC food truck, a first of its kind entrepreneurship program, our students can graduate with their own operating food truck business."
