No planning proves successful for New Jersey food truck operator

July 21, 2020

Nicole Montecalvo, owner and operator of Your Sister's Balls, a meatball-focused food truck, didn't spend months planning a business strategy.

In fact, as New Jersey resident recalls, it just kind of happened, according to a news report at the Asbury Park Press.

A longtime meatball creator, Montecalvo's first-go with selling her balls was at one of the biggest Italian festivals in the New York-New Jersey area, the Feast of San Gennaro held in Little Italy, New York City.

It proved to be a huge success and led to opening her food truck and she's busy serving up meatballs, seafood and chicken all over her state. Even the ongoing coronavirus hasn't kept her business sidelined as she's found local spots on specific days of the week to serve up her fare. The truck is at The Italian American Memorial Association, 195 West End Ave. in Long Branch, between noon and 7 p.m. Tuesdays and Wednesdays at The Pier at Seaside Heights, 2 Ocean Terrace on the boardwalk, beginning at noon Fridays through Saturdays.
