Ohio city approves food truck laws

March 7, 2019

The city council of Lakewood, Ohio has approved regulations that require food truck operators to get a permit to operate.

The ordinance, according to a Patch report, also requires that operators stay updated on liability, safety and sanitation standards.

Permits cost $150 for the year and there is a $100 discount for local restaurant trucks.

In addition, food trucks will need to be inspected by the Lakewood Fire Department as part of the permitting process.
