Ohio food truck contest returning in September

September will mark the return of the Springfield Rotary Gourmet Food Truck Competition in Ohio.

The event, considered one of the area's most popular summer happenings, was cancelled in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, according to a Dayton.com report.

The competition will take place Saturday, Sept. 11 in Veteran's Park and nearly three dozen food trucks are expected to participate. The event, first launched in 2014, offers a beer garden and live entertainment.

Food truck operators will compete for cash prizes, according to the report.
