Ohio opens truck stops to food truck operators

April 15, 2020

In a move to provide more meal options to truck drivers as well as help local food truck operators the state of Ohio is allowing food trucks to park at state rest areas.

The strategy, according to a 13ABC report, is being welcome by both truckers and mobile food operators that have found discovering a place to park and serve much harder given business closures and state mandates for residents to stay at home while the coronavirus outbreak continues.

"This will enable truck drivers to stop and have the opportunity to have a hot meal," Ohio Rep. Haraz Ghanbari told the news outlet.
