On-site dining ban lures food truck from retirement

March 23, 2020

Curbside Burgers, a restaurant in Louisiana, is rolling out its food truck which has been in retirement for the past four years.

The decision, according to owner Nick Hufft, is in direct response to a temporary dining ban due to the coronavirus pandemic, according to the Greater Baton Rouge Business Report.

The move is bringing Curbside back to its roots as Hufft started his food business in a trailer, located outside a few local bars, over a dozen years ago and then expanded into two food trucks. He opened his brick-and-mortar restaurant four years ago.

"We're getting the truck back out to neighborhoods that need a little break from their house and are in need of a simple burger to keep them sane," stated the restaurant's Facebook page. "We're filling subdivision requests now so send us a message if you want to get on the rotation!"
