Oregon food truck owner launches restaurant location

Despite COVID-19, pandemic regulations and a shaky economy, an Oregon food truck is moving forward and expanding the brand.

Chelsy Navarro and her brother, Kaynoa Lasconia, launched their Chacha's Hawaiian Grill food truck in Springfield this past August and recently opened the doors to a brick-and-mortar store called Chacha's Hawaiian Grill in Eugene, according to a Kezi.com report.

"It's been a really tough year for a lot of people," Navarro told the news outlet. "The fact that I'm able to do this in the middle of all this craziness happening in the world. We couldn't do it without our customers, friends and family. I'm really grateful to be here."

The truck and restaurant fare is Hawaiian cuisine, reflecting the food culture of where the brother and sister grew up. Chacha's Hawaiian Grill is located at 1777 Coburg Road in Eugene.
