The village of Ossining, New York is currently exploring whether to allow food trucks on a regular basis. Village officials currently only allow food trucks during special events, according to a report by MSN.
At a village board meeting, trustees and others expressed a desire to protect brick-and-mortar restaurants, which would mean setting up a minimal distance between food trucks and physical restaurants in the law.
Village officials will be gathering public feedback as well as examining other localities' laws before considering a proposal.
