Pop-up food experience expands into a food truck experience

Foodies in Oakland, California who love the vegan pop-up, Don't Be Chick'n, will be happy to hear the owner is expanding into a food truck business.

The Bay Area-based food truck will hit the road in Lake Merritt and other locations on July 3, according to a report at The Oaklandslide.

Owner Nkoyo Adakama, a Sacramento native, devised her plant-based operation based on her own love for fried chicken and her vegan protein offering (made of pea protein and soy) is a big part of her menu.
