Quiet downtown is hurting Nebraska food trucks

April 1, 2020

The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, which has forced businesses and retailers to close, is having a big negative impact for the Nebraska downtown food truck community.

Downtown Omaha, before the coronavirus hit, was a lively spot for the food truck operator. Now with little to no pedestrian and worker traffic food truck operators are not doing well, according to a 6News report.

For now, his truck is in crisis mode he told the news outlet as his winter business, catering at local schools, is not viable given school closures.
