Report finds 35 percent of businesses offered office meals in 2018

Reportcater recently released its report on how office food programs are transforming the food industry. The report found that 35 percent of companies offered office meals to boost team-building in 2018.

The highest rated office meal cuisines included Vietnamese, Middle Eastern, Mexican, Indian and American. Some of the top snacks for 2018 included beverages like La Croix Sparkling Water and Coke Zero, as well as edibles like hard boiled eggs and bananas.

A total of 49 percent of food companies viewed retaining top talent as the top priority in office meal delivery according to the report. Reportcater said that in 2019, food companies and restaurants will offer more dynamic food programs featuring more local food and sustainable sourcing.
