San Diego community boasts a 'food truck central'

The City of Santee, in the East County of San Diego, is home to a "Food Truck Central" hub for food truck fare.

The hub is located on empty parking lots at the 10600 block of Prospect Avenue and Siesta Road and open Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., according to a NBC San Diego report.

The truck offers grab-and-go lunch items and the hub may expand once the ongoing coronavirus pandemic has ebbed, according to the report.

"But for right now we are offering up a unique way to grab a bite to eat for our workforce community," Santee City Manager Marlene Best told the news outlet.
