Shake Shack to launch food trucks

The Shake Shack burger chain will launch a food truck concept in February, according to a report by Skift Table. Shake Shake CEO Randy Garutti made the announcement this week at an industry conference in Orlando, Florida.

The company's first two trucks will be based in New Jersey and Atlanta, and will operate on a broader regional basis as needed. Local Shake shack employees will staff the trucks. 

Shake Shack believes most of the business will come from festivals, community events and private parties, the report said.
