South Dakota food truck expanding location

The Fat Kid Fillys food truck and restaurant in Sioux Falls, South Dakota is opening a new brick-and-mortar location.

The restaurant, which is located at 233 Main Street, is called Fat Kid Saloon and is just four blocks from its owner's home, according to an Argus Leader report.

"It's the whole reason behind it, to be closer to home," owner Cody Sauers told the news outlet. The restaurant hopes to be up and running by this fall.

Sauers launched his food truck in 2020 and then expanded with a food cart.

"This is a stepping stone into the next big thing," Sauers told the news outlet.
