The Springfield, Massachusetts City Council has updated its ordinance regarding food trucks. The ordinance mandates all food trucks attain an annual permit to operate on public and private property throughout the city, according to a report by WWLP.
The permit will cost $125. The ordinance also sets operating hours to 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. for food trucks. Only two food trucks can operate on a single lot at any time.
The ordinance will take effect on July 1. Food truck operators can contact the Department of Public Work's Permit Coordinator to get a permit.
