St. Louis Board of Aldermen passes food truck bill

Board Bill 50 was recently passed by the St. Louis Board of Aldermen. This bill established five food truck areas throughout the city, including Downtown, Downtown West, City Park, Grand Center and Cherokee Street, according to areport by Fox 2 Now.

In addition to expanding access to parking spots, it would also allow food trucks to stay open as late as 1 a.m. The bill notes, "The business of sidewalk vending shall only be permitted between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m. The business of mobile food vending shall only be permitted between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 1:00 a.m."

This bill now awaits a signature from Mayor Cara Spencer to pass fully into law.
