9 Mile Garden, a food truck outdoor area in St. Louis, has banned sporting equipment such as cornhole games. The owners made this move due to multiple accidents from the equipment, according to a report by STLPR.

The owners claim people were being injured and property was being damaged from the equipment. 9 Mile Garden is the first food truck garden in Missouri, which first opened in 2020.

"As the events have grown, the safety issues with sports equipment have grown. Drinks spilled, pop up vendor items getting destroyed, and injuries have grown as we bring out larger crowds. Families bringing out a blanket to enjoy a nice day with their kids are now being relentlessly hit with soccer balls. Volleyballs and footballs are a constant arial threat. We have tried multiple ways to solve this issue but we don't have enough space to separate this activity from the rest of the patrons," 9 Mile Garden stated in asocial media post.
