The Crooked Boot food truck has been awarded $25,000 from Discover's "Eat It Forward" campaign that supports Black-owned businesses.

The St. Louis, Missouri-based truck was nominated and won via social media voting, according to a St. Louis-Dispatch report.

Owner Coria Griggs launched her truck in 2016 and told the news outlet the award is a "blessing."

"Being in St. Louis, for food trucks in the wintertime, it's rough," Griggs told the news outlet. "It's real rough because, you know, people aren't coming out and then on top of that you got your pipes and stuff freezing."

The Discover program, which launched in July with nominations received through October, is aimed at helping the restaurant industry rebound from the pandemic.
