The owners of Honey Bee's Biscuits + Good Eats, a farmer's market vendor, are getting ready to launch a food truck come the new year.

Owners Meredith and Mike Shadwick had been selling their sandwiches, biscuits and gravy at the Kirkwood Farmer's Market, according to a Sauce Magazine report, and after meeting big success decided to launch a food truck.

Honey Bee's was born when Mike Shadwick's restaurant job went away due to the ongoing pandemic. The business name reflects the honey glaze on the business and the fact that the couple met on a dating site with another "bee" reference, "bumble."

The idea for a food truck came after a successful season at the farmer's market.

"Markets were perfect this summer," Mike Shadwick told the news outlet. "We didn't know we were going to get so lucky."
