Students compete in educational food truck expo

Students at Oak Forest High School in Oak Forest, Illinois recently presented a classroom version of a food truck expo as part of an introductory business class, according to an Oak Forest Patch report.

Students created their own teams, business plans and menus over a six-week period beginning in November. Each team designed its own presentation to display at the expo, while another group of students judged the presentations and picked the best three based on sales pitch, design and overall concept.

The teacher of the class, Jim Matlon, plans to expand the expo across the district next year and to collaborate with culinary classes.
