Syracuse food truck rally launching May 1

April 9, 2019

A Syracuse food truck rally will offer six different weekly lunch options when it opens May 1.

The Clinton Square Food Truck Rally will run from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. each Wednesday, from May 1 through the fall, according to a Syracuse.com report.

The Syracuse community is embracing food truck operators and has cut permit costs from $1,500 to $500, noted the report. Local legislators also revamped the city's systems of operation allowances that now provides specific blocks for operators to park.

"We're super excited to be bringing food trucks downtown," Syracuse Food Truck Association President Nick Sanford, owner of Toss 'n' Fire Wood-Fired Pizza, told the media outlet.

According to the report six trucks will set up each week in a rotation schedule involving 25 members of the association.
